So, you've heard a lot about Podcasting on the radio or maybe you've read about it in your local newspaper. Just what the hell is it? Sounds vaguely alien-like, akin to some sort of possession or perhaps fly-fishing for extra-terrestrials. It's really very simple. There are only a handful of inventions that have changed our society in such ways that can truly be called "Revolutionary". The Internet ushered in an age of instant and complete access to information in the form of text, images, sound and video. The Dems say Social Security is not in trouble, in spite of saying the contrary for years, even making it a major campaign issue for Al Gore in 2000 with his famous and oft-repeated (and self-lampooned) "lock box" theme. They say Bush's plan will make it worse, that privatization takes money away from Seniors and jeopardizes the entire fund. Perhaps we should study this idea. One such county actually implemented a more aggressive version of Bush's plan back in 1980 and the returns are staggering 24 years later. Read all about in USA Today.
